Part-Time Courier - Seasonal Position
Position Description
This is a seasonal position running from April through December. As a Courier you will drive a company vehicle approximately 20-25 hours per week to pick up samples from our clients throughout Central Minnesota. Our courier routes have set schedules with some additional stops added as needed. You may also collect water samples from private homes as part of your routes.

Position Description

Job Duties
- Drives company vehicle to pick up water samples along specified routes.
- Presents a professional image to clients and the public and always demonstrates safe and courteous driving behavior.
- Safely transports client samples, sampling coolers, and other related material.
- Operates a smart phone to plan routes, view maps, communicate with clients and lab staff, and record time worked.
- Completes written courier logs.
- Collects water samples from private wells using approved sampling procedures.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- You are self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- You bring a high level of integrity and ethical standard to your work.
- You enjoy driving and meeting and interacting with new people.
- You are looking for a fun atmosphere and friendly work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must pass background check and may be required to complete a drug test upon hire.

Full-Time Laboratory Technician – Seasonal Position

This is a seasonal position running from April through October. As a Laboratory Technician, you will work independently and with other lab technicians to perform a variety laboratory testing according to established procedures and quality control methods to meet the needs of our clients. Your workload may vary somewhat throughout the season, but you can expect to work 40 hours most weeks. We can be somewhat flexible with scheduling and work hours.
Job Duties
This is a full-time hourly position with a starting wage of $16.00-17.00 per hour based on experience. Other benefits include earned Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays. Job Duties
- Performs all certified lab testing according to procedural and quality manuals including maintaining all equipment associated with each test.
- Maintains glassware and other lab equipment according to specifications.
- Performs general laboratory clean-up such as washing glassware, dumping samples, removing garbage/recycling, and cleaning equipment as needed.
- Drive a company vehicle to collect residential water samples and run courier routes as assigned.
- Completes other miscellaneous duties as assigned such as labeling bottles, filing paperwork, and assembling water testing kits.
- You are self-motivated and comfortable working independently and with others.
- You bring a high level of integrity and ethical standard to your work.
- You have a high attention to detail and enjoy tasks that require precision and accuracy.
- You have an interest in environmental science and chemistry.
- You are looking for a fun atmosphere and friendly work environment.
- High school diploma.
- Coursework or degree in a science or science-related field is preferred (i.e. chemistry, biology, environmental science, engineering, nursing, etc.).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and will use both hands to perform required functions of the job.

Sample Receiving/Customer Service Technician – Full-Time, Year-Round

You will greet customers at the door and receive their samples according to laboratory procedures. You will also handle customer payments and log samples accurately into our database.
Job Duties
This is a full-time hourly position with a starting wage of $16.00-17.00 per hour based on experience. No weekend or holiday hours are required. You can expect annual raises and year-end bonuses based on job performance. Other benefits include Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Short-term and Long-term Disability coverage, and Simple IRA retirement plan. - Assists clients by offering friendly and helpful customer service both in-person and over the phone.
- Receive client-submitted samples and paperwork and accurately enter sample information into our Laboratory Information Management System (database).
- Take sample observations (temperature, pH, holding times) as samples are received at the laboratory.
- Organize samples for analysis in the lab.
- Put together sample kits for analytical testing.
- Fill in as needed for couriers/field staff (drive company vehicle to pick up samples or collect water samples at private residences).
- You are friendly and enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
- You bring a high level of integrity and ethical standard to your work.
- You are detail-oriented, thorough, and can work independently.
- You enjoy being busy and like to have variety in your work.
- You can prioritize tasks and switch from one thing to another quickly.
- You are comfortable working with computers and databases.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College experience (2-year or 4-year degree) preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and will use both hands to perform required functions of the job.
- Customer service experience and/or experience with water testing, water treatment, or wells is a bonus, but not required.
