Sample Receiving/Customer Service Technician – Full-Time, Year-Round
Position Description
As a Sample Receiving/Customer Service Technician your primary focus will be to assist our customers, both in person and over the phone. You will greet customers at the door and receive their samples according to laboratory procedures. You will also handle customer payments and log samples accurately into our database.
Job Duties
This is a full-time hourly position with a starting wage of $16.00-17.00 per hour based on experience. No weekend or holiday hours are required. You can expect annual raises and year-end bonuses based on job performance. Position Description

Job Duties
- Assists clients by offering friendly and helpful customer service both in-person and over the phone.
- Receive client-submitted samples and paperwork and accurately enter sample information into our Laboratory Information Management System (database).
- Take sample observations (temperature, pH, holding times) as samples are received at the laboratory.
- Organize samples for analysis in the lab.
- Put together sample kits for analytical testing.
- Fill in as needed for couriers/field staff (drive company vehicle to pick up samples or collect water samples at private residences).
- You are friendly and enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
- You bring a high level of integrity and ethical standard to your work.
- You are detail-oriented, thorough, and can work independently.
- You enjoy being busy and like to have variety in your work.
- You can prioritize tasks and switch from one thing to another quickly.
- You are comfortable working with computers and databases.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College experience (2-year or 4-year degree) preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and will use both hands to perform required functions of the job.
- Customer service experience and/or experience with water testing, water treatment, or wells is a bonus, but not required.
